ESPN’s way-too-early bracketology places high expectations on Miami basketball

Joe Lunardi has Miami high in the way-too-early Brackology update, despite having a losing record last year.

Yes, you read that right. ESPN’s postseason has already gotten to work laying out the projected field for the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Lunardi dropped his first version on Thursday.

And where did he have Jim Larranaga’s Miami Wildcats? Checking in as an 6-seed in the Midwest Region (Seattle) with a first-round matchup against 11-seed of Saint Mary’s or Illinois, and a possible second-round showdown with third-seeded Arizona. Of course, we have to mention that Miami has just nine players on the roster right now.

Despite a half-filled team, Miami is at least expected by Lunardi to make the tournament next March. Below is Lunardi’s projected Midwest Region.
