FINAL: Miami Comes Up Short Against In-State Rival Florida State

Well you can say this team is officially beaten, Miami comes up short against Florida State 84-75

seven days after a home loss to Louisville, Miami loses again at the Watsco Center to FSU.

The Hurricanes fought back from a 16-point second half deficit but were not able to get needed defensive stops don the strech.

The Hurricanes fall to 3-3 in ACC play.

At the half Florida State was up 45-35.

Miami was  getting dominated in the paint. The Seminoles have 30 points in the paint and they are outrebounded Miami 13-11. Miami only has 16 points in the paint.

Miami was shooting 42% from the field and 15% from deep at the break. The Hurricane’s leading scorer is veteran guard Wooga Poplar with him having only seven points with two rebounds, behind him is forward Norchad Omier with seven, and Kyshawn George rounding it up with 6.

At the end of the game Miami ended up shooting 47% from the field with shooting 25% from behind the arc. Hurricanes forward Norchad Omier led the way with a double-double with him having 15 points to go along with 15 rebounds.

And when the Hurricanes came out of the first half break, Miami did make a early run but that was not enough to beat the Seminoles.
