2025 4-star IOL Max Buchanan commits to Miami

The dice are hot for Mario Cristobal and the Hurricanes, Miami adding yet another commitment on a major recruiting month in Coral Gables, this time in 2025 inside offensive lineman Max Buchanan.

The 6-foot-4, 275-pound offensive line from Sanford (Fla. announced on social media his pledge to Miami. He committed to the Canes over many top schools in the country such as  Florida State, Ole Miss, Penn State and more.

“It is Miami. The academics are great and it is a great place to be. The head coach (Mario Cristobal) is an offensive line guy and Coach Mirabal is a great offensive line coach” he told On3.

Buchanan is a four-star prospect per the 247Sports Composite, which considers him the nation’s No. 18 interior offensive lineman and No. 303 overall prospect in the 2025 recruiting class.

He took a visit to Miami on June 14 and after that visit it was all Hurricanes in the lead for him.

After him spending his week with Alex Mirabal and the rest of the Miami’s coaching staff he believes he’s a strong fit for what the Hurricanes do up front.

He is Miami’s 12th commitment in the class, joining DB Amari Wallace, LB Ezekiel Marcelin, QB Luke Nickel, RB Girard Pringle, TE Brock Schott, TE Luka Gilbert, OT Jaden Wilkerson, OT Demetrius Campbell, OG TK Muex, LB Elijah Melendez and CB Tim Merritt.

Welcome him to Miami down below!
