4-star ’25 ATH Waden Charles commits to Miami

Miami has added a 2nd commitment to its 2025 recruiting class. Waden Charles is a Hurricane.

Charles announced his decision on Sunday afternoon, following his game visit against Texas A&M. Clocking in at 6-foot-3, 181-pounds, Charles is Considered the No. 196 overall player and No. 10 athlete in the junior class.

Palm Beach Central Top247 athlete Waden Charles was in the stands to watch it all. Now, he’s pledged to the local Hurricanes. Georgia, Florida State, Michigan, Texas A&M, Florida, and Auburn are a few notable programs who have offered to this point in his process.

“The energy in the stadium was live. The bunch of the fans already knew who I was. It shows me everyone wanted me to be a Hurricane. It’s home. All my friends, my family can watch me play. It just made sense, and I was just ready to lock in,” said Charles of how Hard Rock Stadium played a factor in his decision.

Credit goes to Cristobal and director of recruiting Dennis Smith in the recruitment of Charles but a major shift in interest ensued once wide receivers coach Kevin Beard was hired. The South Florida native was actually the first coach to offer Charles while at Toledo and his return home only added to the relationship with the two.

Welcome to the crib, Charles!
