Herbert Scorggins, a player that the Miami Hurricanes coaching staff has been pushing for the last couple of weeks has succoured the bag, has he has committed to Miami. Herbert becomes the fourteenth commitment in UM’s 2025 class after choosing the Hurricanes over Auburn, Georgia Tech and North Carolina.

The 6-foot-2, 235-pound edge rusher from Benedictine Military School (Savannah, GA) answered simply when asked about Miami. He only needed three words to explain.

“It was amazing” he told CanesToday.

Herbert was mainly recruited by Miami’s defensive line coach Jason Taylor and Coach Joe. Each played a key role in his decision.

Carter has visited Miami only once. He hasn’t set a date for any more official visits which that is good for the Hurricanes.

However after he took his official visit to Miami this month everything change as in everybody that had him going to Auburn put the money on Miami.

Miami is hot on the recruiting trail right now with the Hurricanes adding Herbert Scorggins, Chris Ewald Jr, and Ezekiel Marcelin, the Hurricane also added his defensive back teammates with Marcelin Amari Wallace and including others that joined the 2025 commits this month.
