4-star safety Hylton Stubbs commits to Miami

Just days later after four-star safety’s Hylton Stubbs decommitment from the USC Trojans he has already fount his home with him making his pledge to the Miami Hurricanes on Friday afternoon.

Jacksonville (FL.) Mandarin safety Hylton Stubbs quickly emerged as a top target for Miami in the 2025 recruiting cycle. Head coach Mario Cristobal and recruiting coordinator Chevis Jackson immediately hit him up right after his decommitment from USC.

He committed to Miami over Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Alabama and USC are tons more.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pounder is the No. 49 overall prospect in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, he also ranks as the nation’s No. 4 safety and No. 6 recruit in Florida.

He just recently took a visit to Miami this past weekend and that could of led to his decommitment, as he said the Hurricanes really did impress him.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder got his most in-depth look at what the Hurricanes.

Stubbs helped his high school Mandarin each Florida’s 4M title game where he recorded 97 tackles (8.5 TFL), 6 Interceptions, 6 pass breakups, 2 forced fumbles, 3 fumbles recovered and 2.5 sacks. The four-star also totaled 84 tackles and 2 interceptions in 2022.
