4-star wide receiver Miami target pushes his commitment back till July 1st

Yesterday afternoon 4-star wide receiver Jerrae Hawkins pushed his commitment date to July 1st.

Hawkins is from Wheeling, West Virginia but is now playing at IMG Academy, And Miami’s coaching staff is known for getting IMG players. Such as 5-star defensive tackle prospect David Stone, 4-star running back Jerrick Gibson and 4-star defensive lineman Jayden Jackson all of these guys that I mention is all top targets for the Miami Hurricanes football team.

Jerrae Hawkins is a 5-foot-9, 160-pound wide receiver. Miami has been in the mix for a while now, and the teams that are also in the mix for Hawkins are Florida and Penn State. As of right now Penn State has a solid lead on Hawkins with Penn State at 41.1 percent to get a commitment from him and Florida is 20.8 percent with Miami begin 17.8 percent, all of this is according to the On3 Sports Website.

He is considered begin the No. 229 best player in the 2024 class, the No. 35 wide receiver in the country and the No. 35 in the state of Florida., according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings.

Last season, Hawkins racked up 67 receptions for 1,127 yards and 14 touchdowns for an IMG Academy program that was among the best in the nation.
