A closer look at Miami Football’s summer enrolees

Summer workout are already underway from the Carol Soffer Indoor Practice Facility, which welcomed its remaining players from the 2024 signing class on campus this week.

Miami’s 2024 class finished at No. 6 overall in the national rankings. The group was first in the ACC and had a class score of 90.26, headlined by five-star edge Marquise Lightfoot, five-star defensive tackle Armondo Blount and 7 other four-star prospects.

The early enrollees who arrived in January included Lightfoot and Blount, four-star safety Zaquan Patterson, four-star wide receiver JoJo Trader, four-star wide receiver Ny Carr, four-star tight end Elijah Lofton, four-star linebacker Adarius Hayes, four-star offensive tackle Marcel Bell, four-star linebacker Cam Pruitt, three-star offensive tackle Deryc Plazz, three-star safety Isaiah Thomas, three-star quarterback Judd Anderson, three-star edge Cole McConathy ll, three-star running back Chris Wheatley-Humphry, three-star inside offensive lineman Nico Francavilla, and three-star kicker Abram Murphy.

Here’s a closer look at the summer enrollees who will arrive in the summer:

Justin Scott

Scott was considered the 12th-ranked prospect and the third-ranked defensive lineman in the 2024 class per 247Sports’ composite rankings. He was previously a OSU commit that the Hurricanes had flipped.

Booker Pickett Jr.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder has been one of the nation’s most productive pass rushers, totaling 70 sacks, 30 coming as a junior, and 51 more tackles for loss over four years of high school football.

He is considered the No. 240 overall player and No. 19 EDGE in the Class of 2024.

Chance Robinson

Robinson is the No. 125 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to On3, he ranks as the nation’s No. 22 wide receiver and the No. 17 recruit in the Sunshine State.

Artavius Jones

The On3 composite rankings list Jones as the 165th prospect, 20th defensive lineman and the 26th recruit in Florida in the 2024 class.

Jordan Lyle

Lyle is considered the 144th-best prospect and the 12th-best running back in the 2024 class.

Elias Rudolph

Rudolph is ranked No. 44 in the state of Florida, No. 23 at the EDGE position and No. 291 overall on the 247Sports composite.

Ryan Mack

He is ranked the No. 514 in the class of 2024, No. 50 safety in his position group, and the No. 75 in the Sunshine state.

Romanas Frederique Jr.

According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings ” OJ ” is the No. 1005 player in the class of 2024, he is also the No. 82 player in his position group and the No. 134 player in the state of Florida.

Juan Minaya

The 6-foot-6, 330-pounder is the No. 814 overall prospect and No. 60 offensive tackle in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3, he is also the No. 16 player in New Jersey.

Daylen Russell

Russell is considered the No. 995 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3, he ranks as the nation’s No. 94 defensive lineman and the No. 131 player in the state of Florida.
