ACC/SEC Challenge matchup between Kentucky-Miami assigned to ESPN

It come’s as much of a shock, the Miami Hurricanes basketball is getting star treatment for the inaugural ACC/SEC Challenge.

On Monday, ESPN announced the TV assignments for all 28 of the men’s and women’s ACC/SEC Challenge matchups, which will run from Tuesday, Nov. 28 through Thursday, Nov. 30. Miami is set to take on Kentucky in Rupp Arena on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 7:30 p.m. EST. The news? It will be one of two marquee games broadcast on ESPN that day.

This matchup will mark just the fourth time in history that Kentucky and Miami (FL) will play each other, and the first instance of the John Calipari era. UK is 3-1 in this series, the most recent win coming all the way back in 2000. The last time these two teams met was in Dec. 2008, which resulted in a win for the Hurricanes.
