At The Half: Miami leads TNCJ by 28 points

Through one half of preseason basketball in Coral Gables, your University of Miami Hurricanes leads against The College Of New Jersey, in the first exhibition games for Miami. Jim Larranaga debuted a starting five of Nijel Pack, Bensley Joseph, Keyshawn George, Matthew Cleveland, Norchad Omier, and to match up with the experienced TNCJ team.

In the first 20 minutes, Omier and Nijel Pack carried the scoring load with 24 points between them for the Hurricanes. However, it was very clear that Miami’s freshman’s still have a long way to go until Larranaga has his full complement of players. Miami’s center Norchad Omier is 6-for-8 (64%) on the day so far. We even saw Omier hit a three from the wing today, we know he been working on that three ball all summer long, and it showed in the first half.
