BREAKING: Former Miami Center Norchad Omier Commits To Baylor

Former Miami Hurricane center Norchad Omier has announced on social media that he would be continuing his athletic career at the Baylor Bears and Scott Drew.

Norchad Omier made a huge name for himself when he decided to come along with Miami in 2022, Omier was one of the top rebounders in the country this season, almost averaging himself 10 rebounds per game on the season. That is wildly impressive from the junior. He was also the ultimate team player, being that good, Miami doesn’t get as far as it does without Norchad’s role and efforts this season.

Omier is an absolute mismatch nightmare in the paint for every team that the Hurricanes play. There are few players who are as skilled as he is around the basket and very few with the kind of athleticism that he has to score in the paint and rebound. He impacts a game in a lot of ways and even though the big man is not always flashy, I mean by putting up points in large quantities, he is extremely consistent, and the Hurricanes and the rest of the ACC always know what they are going to get. That is usually a double-double.

As the focal point of Miami’s offense, Omier average 17.0 PPG (up 3.9 PPG from the previous season) and 9.9 RPG while leading the conference in double-doubles with 16.

Best of luck to Norchad.
