BREAKING: Quarterback Jacurri Brown will start in the bowl game

Miami Hurricanes quarterback Jacurri Brown will get the start in the bowl game which we don’t know who and what we will play just yet.

According to sources, Brown committed to playing in UM’s future bowl game during a meeting with the staff this week.

Brown has been left behind at the quarterback room with previously starting quarterback Tyler Van Dyke and 2nd string that got hurt in the FSU game Emory Williams, had past Brown up, now since Tyler Van Dyke is in the transfer portal, and Emory Williams is hurt it’s time for the next man to step up, and that would be Jacurri Brown.

After seeing action in eight games as a true freshman in 2022, Brown will make his 2023 debut after taking a redshirt during the regular season.

Brown will be able to retain his redshirt status while playing in the bowl game.

In Miami’s 2022 season, Jacurri Brown threw for 230 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions while rushing for 221 yards.

Brown started two games for the Hurricanes in 2022 with his best performance coming in a road win at Georgia Tech. In that game, Brown completed 14-of-19 passes for 136 yards and three touchdowns while running the ball 19 times for 87 yards.
