BREAKING: Tennessee EDGE Tyler Baron Transfers To Miami
BOOM! The Miami Hurricanes and coach Mario Cristobal was just notified that Tennessee EDGE Tyler Baron will transfer to Miami.
Tyler Baron was a star edge in the class of 2020 playing at Knoxville Catholic (TN.) Baron became the starter at Knoxville Catholic for his senior year after he decided to transfer out of The Ensworth High to play for the Fighting Irish. As a senior, he had 105 tackles and nine sacks. He committed to the University of Tennessee to play college football, but after deciding that he would enter the portal he is looking for a new home.
After that season, Baron saw his recruitment blow up. The prospect became a consensus four-star recruit. That ultimately led to a commitment to Tennessee.
As a true freshman at Tennessee, Baron played in all 10 games and had 21 tackles and one sack. As a sophomore in 2021, he started five of 13 games, recording 30 tackles and four sacks. Baron started three of 13 games in 2022 and had 22 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
Baron was an important contributor during all four of his seasons with Tennessee.Â
Tyler Baron brings a ton of starting experience to the table and his ability to touch the field. There is still some upside with the defensive line.
