Cam Ward looks the part in Miami debut versus Florida

To say that Miami has a ton riding on Cam Ward in 2024 would be an understatement. It might be the understatement of the year. The Washington State quarterback transfer is a former no-star recruit that Miami offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson targeted immediately to replace Tyler Van Dyke.

The Hurricanes do not need Cam Ward to be Superman but they need the senior with only one more year left of eligibility remaining to be a productive ACC quarterback this fall. In Saturday’s game against the Florida Gators, Ward looked the part.

Miami’s new Quarterback 1 led the team to multiple scoring drives against the Florida Gators and truly picked apart the Gators secondary.

Cam Ward achieved a remarkable performance, throwing for 385 yards and scoring three touchdowns, which included a 41-17 victory for the No. 19 Miami team against the host, Florida Gators, on Saturday afternoon in Gainesville, Florida.

This might be one **** of a season ladies and gentlemen.
