Can Miami land four-star EDGE Marquise Lightfoot?

If you pay attention to the college recruiting calendar, you know that June is when things start to really pick up. Spring practice is over and the season is still three months away, and with high school prospects beginning their summer breaks, they are more able to take visit – official and un – to college campuses around the country.

Marquise Lightfoot is one of those prospects. Lightfoot is not certain when he will commit yet, but is narrowing down the field and taking official visits in order to move up to that decision date. Here are the school that are remaining for him Miami, Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Ohio State and USC.

Fresh off of his official visit to Coral Gables, Lightfoot seemed ” wowed ” when he was coming back home. The 6-foot-5, 220-pound edge rusher is among the top players in the country, as Lightfoot is ranked as the 6th best at his position and 67th overall national prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Ranking. He recorded 122 tackles, nine sacks, and three forced fumbles in his junior season at Kenwood Academy at Chicago, Illinois.

Lightfoot has crystal-balls to the Ohio State University but can Miami turn his head away from them? As of right now Miami is not in a good position to land him with Ohio State by a mile and Notre Dame is also creeping up on him. he seems very locked in with Ohio State with defensive line coach Larry Johnson. But Miami on the other hand got a NFL Hall Of Famer as the defensive line coach plus who would not wanna play for a NFL great so if that can play apart of his recruitment I think we might have a recruiting battle.
