CFB Writer puts Ahkeem Mesidor in top 25 best defensive ends in country

According to a post by Phil Steele of On3 Ahkeem Mesidor is a top-25 best defensive end in the country.

Mesidor (6-3, 275) has not played since sustaining an injury against Texas A&M in week two last year.

He will technically have two more years of college eligibility remaining.

The veteran defensive lineman has played 45 defensive snaps in 2023, totaling five tackles and one sack. He has generated one pressure this season.

Akheem Mesidor was a three-star recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He started his career at West Virginia before transferring to Miami ahead of the 2022 season. That was a very productive season for Mesidor. In just 11 games, he matched his career high in tackles with 38. He also set career highs in tackles for loss and sacks, with 10.5 and 7.0 respectively.

Do not be surprised if you see Akheem Mesidor climb up draft boards as this season progresses.
