CT Summer League: Jordan Miller impressing, Kyshawn George getting in the movement of things, Isaiah Wong finishing with 18

The NBA Las Vegas Summer League is beginning to wind down. After a full week of summer hoops, only four days’ worth of games remain on the schedule, including Sunday’s playoffs and Monday’s championship.

The Miami Hurricanes have players participating in Las Vegas Summer League, with most of them having played in three or four games so far. The final pre-playoff games will run throughout Friday and Saturday. All 30 teams will play five total games, so you still have a chance to watch some former ‘Canes in action over the coming days.

We last did a Summer League update on Monday when most had only played one or two games. We have a slightly bigger sample size to work with now though. Let’s dive into the numbers and see how the Miami guys have been performing.

Isaiah Wong

Yesterday afternoon Isaiah Wong had his best game of the NBA Summer League with him finishing with 18 points to go along with a 6-for-8 shooting on the day, and you can check out the highlights down below from the 100-99 win over the Thunder.

Kyshawn George

Kyshawn George has been kinda slow to start his debut in the NBA Summer League this could mean one or two things.

One is nervousness, which I can completely understand no rookie comes in not worried on how they are going to do, so it can be overthinking and he maybe needs to calm down in the games. Second it could just be the lack of experience, he only played one season at Miami so I can completely so the lack of experience.

However which either one is it, I love watching this kid play we saw him making plays on the offensive and defensive side today however they did come up short against the Rockets.

Jordan Miller

Out of all these three Jordan Miller has been balling the most.

There is no doubt in my mind Jordan Miller will make a name for himself this season in the NbA after putting up THREE 20-point games in the summer league.

Miller is really putting a name for himself as his second year in the NBA. This year I think this is where Miller will show that he is a legit forward and will get playing time in the NBA.

From his first NBA summer league game this year Miller shined in the Clips’ Summer League opener, filling up the stat sheet. The 24-year-old had a highly efficient 36-point performance against the Nuggets, shooting 60% from the field. In his second summer league game he finished with a great 21 points.
