Davon Reed to play in the Paris Olympics for Puerto Rico

Former Miami Hurricane Davon Reed will be playing in the Paris Olympics for Puerto Rico.

Davon Reed and the Puerto Rico men’s basketball team qualified for the 12-team tournament for the first time since 2004 by winning the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in San Juan with a a 79-68 victory Sunday night against Lithuania.

Reed is a 29-year old guard that was a second round pick out of Miami and got drafted by the Phenoix Suns were in appeared in 122 games.

He spent the 2023-24 season with the Memphis Grizzlies’ G League affiliate before moving on to play pro ball in Puerto Rico.
