Deryc Plazz gets a home-visit by the Miami Hurricanes coaching staff, Talks Miami Recruitment With Coaches

Miami Hurricanes commit Deryc Plazz gets a surprise home-visit, by the Miami Hurricanes coaching staff. Unless if you not on the internet that much, Miami’s coaching staff has been working hard on the recruiting trail, they have visited 12 Miami Hurricanes commits already all around the country.

This is what Plazz had to say. “100% just and only Miami, Just the relationships and the progress, and I really love Miami. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else but here, so I see great opportunities for myself. The staff believes in me, and I believe in them.”

Plazz on why he chose Miami

“Everytime I go down I feel genuine love from the coaching staff there. They made it clear I’m a priority since being offered earlier this year. I also see the vision in what Cristobal plans to bring Miami to and that’s a national championship team. That’s something I knew I wanted to be a part of. The guys already in the class did a great job of making it known they wanted me to join them. I know Miami will be dominating college football very soon. Coach Cristobal has proven to dominate everywhere he’s been and he knows what it takes to win the conference and national championships.”

“The icing on the cake was that my high school friend who passed away was committed to play for Mirabal and Cristobal before they were forced out of FIU. So he’s someone I know had a great mind and I feel like it’s all meant to be everything coming around full circle.”

Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for him

“My relationship with the coaching staff is great. Especially the guys working with the oline. There’s not one coach I’m closest with because I talk to every one of them every day between Cristobal, Mirabal, Bain, and Pata.”

The Sunshine State offensive tackle joins coach Mario Cristobal and the Hurricanes’ top 25 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by four-star EDGE Marquise Lightfoot, four-star wide receiver Chance Robinson, and others.

Plazz ranks as the No. 903 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 62 offensive tackle and the No. 126 player in the state of Florida.
