DJ Pickett’s family was ‘impressed’ after his official visit to Miami today

DJ Pickett one of the most highly recruited prospects Miami is going after in this 2024 class just got off of a visit to Miami today and his family came too, that’s where we caught up with his mom Tammie Pickett where she said positive stuff about the visit.

“Miami showed our family a great time. I feel like Miami did an amazing job of showing us how DJ would fit into the organisation on and off the field. We were impressed this weekend.”

Pickett plays both wide receiver and safety, but he is primarily considered a safety prospect. Pickett has explosive speed and takes long strides. He could also project as a cornerback at the next level.

The five-star runs track and also plays baseball and basketball. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound defensive back plans to play in the 2025 Under Armour All-America Game.

The lengthy safety is the No. 3 player at his position in the 2025 recruiting class. Pickett is the top-ranked player in Florida and the No. 7 player in the country in the 2025 recruiting cycle, per 247Sports.

As far as where Miami stands we should feel good about landing him but again he will take his visits to places as he is visiting Oregon this weekend coming up but Miami could be the team to beat at the end of the day after today.
