Does Miami have a chance with an interior offensive linemen coming off late June visit?

Isendre Ahfua is one of the top offensive linemen in the country. According to 247 Sports own player rating, Ahfua holds a four-star 92 rating and checks in as the No. 5 interior offensive lineman and No. 134 overall player. Throughout the industry, Ahfua has a .9534 four-star Composite Rating, No. 4 interior offensive lineman ranking and No. 98 overall. He took an official visit to Miami back in late June and said he is ” feeling great about Miami ” after his visit and also planning to take a few in-season official visits.

” The relationship has been going on for a while now,” Ahfua said ” At the start of my recruiting process, they were on me. And man, I love them, Mario Cristobal and Alex Mirabal. They are two great coaches, and two great O-line coaches as well.”

Getting a feel for Ahfua’s game requires piecing together hudl clips from various games from his high school squad, he is No. 54 at right guard. Tipping the scales at 6-foot-4 and 310 pounds, Ahfua is a grown man and has been for quite some time. He’s known for having earned an offer from Alabama at 14 years old after he showed up at 6-foot-4 and 330 pounds. Ahfua is much more than just a big body and his recruitment reflects that. Play with strength is his best quality, he’s able to simply overpower the opposition at his current level. However, he’s also become pretty flexible and mobile for a player of his size. He isn’t the quickest or most athletic by any stretch of the imagination, but he is surprising light footed for as big as he is. As a run blocker, Ahfua has an aggressive temperament and immediately seeks defensive linemen to engage with.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Oregon Ducks have fantastic lead with an 84.3 percent chance to land a commitment from him with Miami in the drivers seat with a 4.4 percent chance and Utah with an 2.9 percent chance. In my option i think its a lot closer than this says this might not be up to date though, but I still give the Ducks a slight lead with the Hurricanes sneaking up and maybe steal him from the Ducks.

The Hurricanes have worked incredibly hard in the background of Ahfua’s recruitment. With headline grabbing programs like Georgia and Alabama, as well as others like Washington, Texas A&M, and Oregon, His recruitment is filled with a lot of good options. Mario Cristobal and the Hurricanes staff have worked hard when he came down on his official visit back in late June. which is always beneficial to the program when they get players on campus. Ahfua doesn’t have a firm timeline for a decision but would like to have one made by the fall.
