Elite 2025 prospects Cameron, Cayden Boozer take official visit to Miami

It’s no secret that Miami Christopher Columbus blue-chip twins Cameron and Cayden Boozer are going to be extremely sought after throughout the entirety of their respective recruitments. Nearly every major program under the sun is going to be chasing the elite prospects’ pledges.

As teams make their pitches for the sons of former Duke standout and NBA forward Carlos Boozer, one powerhouse was able to wrangle the first official visit over the weekend. The twins are in Coral Gables to visit Miami — which figures to be a mainstay in the push for the pair.

Cameron Boozer is the No. 1 prospect in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. The power forward is the top-ranked player in the class by three of those four companies. Cayden Boozer is the No. 15 prospect and No. 3 point guard in the cycle.

Jim Larranaga offered the Boozers back in May and have been off to the races in making their presence known since. The pair has made it known that they are not committed to going to the same school as each other.

A package deal?

We all know the connection with Dad, a star for the Blue Devils from 1999-2002. Many blindly connect the Boozer twins with Duke without context, assuming they both want to follow in his footsteps. They disagree — this official visit to Miami being one of many examples pointing to Cameron and Cayden being wide open in their respective recruitments.

They haven’t even ruled out the possibility of signing with different programs. It just depends on the fit and where they feel comfortable, whether that’s together or separately.

“I don’t have to stress it (with schools recruiting me), it’s a known thing (I’m wide open),” Cameron told an source. “Whatever school wants me and pushes for me, if I see a good fit, that’s where I’m going to go.”

“It would be a blessing to go with him,” Cayden said of playing in college with Cam. “It could happen, but I’m not really sure if it’s going to happen. We’ve got to see if it’s the best fit for both of us.”

An official to Miami will certainly a step in the right direction.

Cameron and Cayden Boozer Scouting Summaries
Cameron — “Cameron Boozer plays at one level, never too high or never too low. He plays with excellent balance in all parts of the game. The jump shot has a smooth release. He is an excellent defensive rebounder and a high-level outlet passer. He has strong hands when he gathers the ball. Does not mind getting physical and will play with and through contact. He has good straight-line athleticism and runs the floor very well. Has average burst in short space, but he understands angles and rotations on the defensive end very well. Never rushed. Good pace.”

Cayden — “Cayden Boozer is a strong-framed and aggressive point guard. At 6-foot-2, 6-foot-3 is a tough on-the-ball defender. He has quick feet at the point of attack and a strong IQ, understanding angles, and footwork. There is a toughness about Boozer. He is a good passer, plays well out of the pick and roll, his head is up, and has a great pace. He will need to continue to tighten the handle in traffic and continue to hone the reads, but that is natural growth. The jump shot is streaky; it is something he will need to continue developing to become a consistent threat. Boozer finishes well in the paint through contact.“
