ESPN ranks Cam Ward a top-10 quarterback ahead of 2024-25 season

In a new article over at ESPN, they took the time to rank the top 10 returning quarterbacks earlier this week in a full-length article. And one of those quarterback was Cam Ward at the 10 spot just below Cameron Rising of Utah.

Regardless of what new spread looks that Miami will try to utilize, this offense still needs a quarterback who can make quick reads and get the ball out on time. Playing with correct timing is essential in this air-raid scheme that has a ton of moving parts. Cam Ward will have to prove that he has the accuracy long-term to efficiently run the offense but this is a quarterback that has been well-coached and looks comfortable making reads.

A transfer from Washington State, Ward threw for 6,963 yards and 48 touchdowns across 25 games for the Cougars.

The 6-foot-2, 223-pound signal caller also ran for 13 scores, garnering Pac-12 Honorable Mention honors twice.
