The Miami Hurricanes and head coach Jim Larranaga just got another commit with Stamford Bulldogs transfer A.J. Staton-McCray signing with Miami.

Staton-McCray is a 6’5″, 195-pound junior guard that’s played 62 games over the last two seasons at Samford. Last season, he averaged 11.5 points, 4.5 rebounds in just 21 minutes per game. Staton-McCray shot 44.2% from the field and 41.3% from 3-point range.

Based off of his film he likes to score at the rim he is a 48% FG player when he is at the rim.

Also loves to score at left and right above the break three he is 38% from that spot. Also make note of this he is very athletic so expect him to get some blocks.

He will be able to play fast which is really good cause he played for Samford or could be better known as Bucky Ball and they were probably the fastest teams In all of college basketball last year.
