FINAL: Miami dominates Boston College from the start, Miami wins 45-20

The Hurricane’s played their last regular season game today, and the Hurricanes closed it out with a bang, Miami dominated Boston College from the start to get the win over the Eagles 45-20.

The man, Tyler Van Dyke led the way today for the offense, Tyler Van Dyke threw for 290 yards and two touchdowns, Henry Parrish ran for 111 yards and two score.

Xavier Restrepo caught six passes for 117 yards and Mark Fletcher, Colbie Youn, Jacolby George and Ajay Allen also scored touchdowns for the Hurricanes, who snapped a three-game losing streak by scoring the most points in a conference game this season with its first win over Boston College since 2012.

Miami (7-5, 3-5 ACC) will await its bowl destination as they look to play in their first bowl game since 2020 and will be looking for its first bowl win since 2016

The win prevented Mario Cristobal from establishing the worst two-year run in the ACC by a Miami coach, instead tying Randy Shannon’s 6-10 mark in 2007-08. The Hurricanes, who were picked fifth in the ACC preseason poll, entered the day 10th, but can finish as high as eighth if Duke loses to Pittsburgh on Saturday.

Van Dyke, in what could be his final game as a Hurricane as earlier in the week he was non-committal in playing in the bowl game or returning next season, threw multiple touchdown passes in a game for the first time since Oct. 14 at North Carolina when he tossed four. He completed 23 of 36 passes.

Miami did get off to a sluggish start against the Eagles with letting the Eagles score on their opening drive, but Miami did capitalize on that with the very next position the Hurricanes score and that’s where everything takes off with Miami dominating the game.

The Hurricanes finished with 533 yards of total offense.

It feels so good to say this, MIAMI WILL PLAY IN A BOWL THIS SEASON! Man, that felt so good. We won’t know who Miami will play in the bowl game until next Sunday when they release the bowl game matchups.
