FINAL: Miami Falls in thriller in New York, Syracuse downs Miami on the road 72-69

Well, Hurricanes fans how we feeling? Canes lose in a heartbreaking fashion to the Syracuse Orange.

Only two Miami Hurricanes players got past 10 points against the Orange today, those players were Matthew Cleveland with (16), Nijel Pack (15). Coming up behind them is a stud center Michael Nwoko with him accomplishing 7 points with 5 rebounds. Nwoko had to step up into this game cause Norchad Omier had a injury.

On a positive note Miami’s defense really impressed me today. Syracuse was forced into a lot of late shot-clock situations.

As a team, Miami shot a combined 49.0 percent from the field, the ‘Canes turned the ball over 12 times against the Orange defense tonight. Syracuse finished just 40 percent from the floor and 12-31 from long range.

Nothing was falling for the Hurricanes behind the arc but everything was falling in the paint, in the first half with Miami shooting 52% from the field and 10% from deep at the break. The Hurricane’s leading scorer was veteran forward Matthew Cleveland with him having 10 points.

The Hurricanes will travel to take on the red-hot Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
