four-star WR Braylon Staley sets commitment date with the Hurricanes in his choices

One of the Miami Hurricanes 2024 recruiting targets is commenting in two days and maybe see a verbal commit from him.

Miami Hurricanes football program has done a solid job with the class of 2024, as they already have 13 players committed up to this point. Adding a playmaker like Staley would be huge for the Hurricanes, as they’ll look to bring in one of the top wide receivers prospects available as of right now.

Staley stand at, 6-feet, 175-pounds from Aiken, South Carolina. He is rated by 247 Sports as the No. 22 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 2 player in the state of South Carolina. He’s also rated as the No. 121 overall player in the 2024 recruiting class. Miami, Clemson, North Carolina and Tennessee are the four schools vying for Staley’s commitment.

It appears that Clemson is the team to beat for Staley, but the South Carolina native came down early this month to Coral Gables to see the Hurricanes so the Hurricanes at least stand a chance in this battle for his commitment.

If Miami manages to land Staley, they’ll be getting a tough pass catcher who has plenty of speed, he also runs track in high school, and can make defenders miss in the open field. Staley is the type of player that drives opposing defensive coordinators crazy.

The Hurricanes are also in the mix for five-star wide receivers Jeremiah Smith and JoJo Trader, as well as five-star wide receiver Ryan Wingo, so it’s not like this is a ” must-win ” recruiting battle for the Hurricanes.

2024 four-star wide receiver Braylon Staley told On3 that he plans to announce his commitment on June 30 at 4:00 PM EST.
