Four things: Why Miami Basketball can have another special season that they did two years ago

.) Did Miami lose some special talents? Yes Norchad Omier and Kyshawn George. But, Miami will have players capable of reaching that milestone and two are additions of Jalil Bethea and Matthew Cleveland. Nearly every program, and maybe every single one, would be ecstatic with that kind of transfer haul.

.) Miami landed two big-time commits into the portal that Miami needs such as Lynn Kidd and Brandon Johnson joined the team in the summer and is progressing with the Canes this upcoming fall.

.) It will be tough to out-do or match what Miami was able to receive from the top two on the roster two year ago. To have similar success and achieve some of the things that year when Miami went on the Final 4 run, but, they don’t have to do it the same way. Or, the Hurricanes can be less reliant on one or two players and have more guys that can be trusted and depended upon at a regular clip. That means growth and development from upper-tier players like Matthew Cleveland, Nijel Pack.

.) The fun part is that it also isn’t just those two. While nobody anticipates them threatening to be all-conference selections during the 2024-2025 campaign, Miami is still excited about what they are also seeing from Paul Djobet for example. I’d also be surprised if they didn’t receive some production from the freshmen class that consists of Jalil Bethea, Isaiah Johnson-Arigu and Austin Swartz.
