HALFTIME: Miami trails Virginia Tech 30-29 in Blacksburg

Inhale. Exhale. That was a lot. The game most expected to be a halfcourt slugfest has quickly become a track meet, a low-scoring affair between the Canes and the Hokies.

Nothing was falling for the Hurricanes in the first half with Miami shooting 26% from the field and 17% from deep at the break. The Hurricane’s leading scorer is veteran forward Matthew Cleveland with him having 12 points with three rebounds, behind him it falls off to guard Nijel Pack with 10, and Norchad Omier rounding it up with 4.

On the other end, Virginia Tech star Sean Pedulla leads the way with 14 points on two made threes, followed by Robbie Beran and Tyler Nickel with six apiece. As a team, the Aggies are shooting 40% overall and 32% from three. They’re also winning the rebounding battle 20-15.

That’s how you get a 30-29 score in favor of the home team.
