How Kyshawn George fits in with the Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards made a significant long-term investment by trading with the Knicks for the No. 24 pick in Wednesday night’s 2024 NBA Draft, Kyshawn George was selected by the Knicks.

Washington saw an immediate hole in their roster they needed to fill and they were able to do so by drafting Kyshawn and not having to overspend in free agency.

So what can he bring to the table for the Washington Wizards?

Kyshawn does move well for his size but he does have to develop his technique and speed on the defensive side of the ball. He can guard on the perimeter, but sometimes struggles against quicker, more shifty players

Kyshawn always makes the right play at the right time when he played for Miami, he also took care of the ball well. He’s starting to figure out how to leverage his size in mismatches on both ends of the floor.

He ended up averaging 7.6 points per game to go along with 3.0 rebound and 2.2 assist per game, he also had a career high against Wake Forest with 21 points.

Best of luck to Kyshawn in the NBA.
