Huge Miami official visit weekend preview: June 7-9

Miami is ready to run it back.

The second official visit weekend of June has arrived. The Hurricanes are currently expected to welcome 14 official visitors to campus for the June 7-9 weekend.

CanesToday will be down in Coral Gables tomorrow to see the Miami Hurricanes annual Legends Camp, and CT takes a look at the top storylines surrounding this weekend in Coral Gables.

One more swing at Elijah Griffen

This weekend’s headliner is five-star defensive lineman Elijah Griffen Miami has had the Savannah, (GA) native circled as a priority target for years at this point. On top of that, offensive line coach Alex Mirabel is taking the head lead in his recruitment. The Hurricanes got him on campus for a unofficial in March and now he returns for his official visit.

Pair of cornerbacks in town

For the second straight weekend, cornerback coach Jahmile Addae  will have a pair of targets in town. Timothy Merritt and Mark Manfred are both three-star cornerbacks that will be visiting the university of Miami today and this will be a great time for Miami to make up some great ground on them. Also, Manfred has already been down to Coral Ganles twice in his recruitment.

Can Miami gain momentum on Jadon Perlotte

Jadon Perlotte has been a Georgia pledge since December 2022, but Miami has remained in the mix to flip him. Perlotte has a really good relationship with Miami linebacker coach Derek Nicholson, they have been talking about a year now. Addition to his Miami visit, Perlotte will also visit Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, and Georgia during this month of June. This official visit will be huge to gain momentum on his recruitment and maybe pull a stunner in getting a commitment from him but I don’t expect him to commit right after he got tons of visits settled up ahead of the Hurricanes visit today.
