Hurricanes have Three drafted into the NFL

Last week the NFL draft took place in Kansas City, Missouri. Three former Hurricanes heard their name called headlined by cornerback Tyrique Stevenson being drafted 56th overall in the second round by the Chicago Bears. In addition to Stevenson being drafted, the Hurricanes also sent tight end Will Mallory and Defensive Back D.J. Ivey to the NFL. Mallory was selected in the fifth round by the Indianapolis Colts (162nd overall) while Ivey is going to the Cincinnati Bengals. The AFC runner-up drafted Ivey 246th overall and in the seventh round.
