Jaelan Phillips says “The Canes are back”
Jaelan Phillips is officially back with the Miami Dolphins after missing last season due to an injury. During a media availability for the Dolphins, he was asked about Miami, and here was his response:
“The Canes are back, baby. I’m stamping it now.” said Phillips.
Phillips, who was selected in the first round of the 2021 draft, is transitioning into his third season with the Dolphins. He concluded the previous season with an impressive tally of 43 tackles and 6.5 sacks. However, his season was abruptly interrupted when he sustained an Achilles tendon injury eight games into the season, resulting in his absence from the remainder of the team’s games. Despite this setback, Phillips appeared to be on the cusp of a breakout year prior to his injury.
