Mario Cristobal’s, Monday press conference following a win over a talented Texas A&M team.

When Mario Was asked about some of the players injured in Saturday’s win, he says they’re all progressing and will continue to be evaluated as the week continues.

Mario Cristobal Thoughts on Thursday Game – “We have a chance to play again four, five days later in front of our fans…the best opportunity about this week is that guys are continuing to earn opportunities to play…playing time around here is going to be earned.”

Mario Cristobal, on those locker room celebration you may have seen this weekend – “I was really happy for them. These guys have been through a lot…Saturday validated a lot. It validated a lot of hard work…I was really happy to see our team, our players have success.”

Mario Cristobal, on the impact of Saturday’s win on the recruiting trail – “I think it’s like for the players, the validation of the hard work. For recruits that were in wait-and-see mode, they got to see a big step…”

Mario Cristobal, on OC Shannon Dawson and DC Lance Guidry – “We invaded Louisiana and extracted a couple of guys that are difference makers as people…if you are that…and you have such a high level of knowledge, that’s a powerful combination…”

Mario Cristobal on Bethune-Cookman – “We think they’re fast…We see speed, disruptiveness…they bring pressure from all sorts of places…they force a lot of bad plays…”

Mario Cristobal, on the special teams play Saturday – “We were really bad and we have to take that right between the eyes as coaches…We’ve got to coach it better, execute it better…we didn’t do it in a couple different areas Saturday. We have to fix it.”
