Miami 4-star C target Jaden Toombs sets commitment date

A decision is on the horizon for one of Miami’s top center targets.

Four-star class of 2025 center Jaden Toombs posted to social media on Tuesday afternoon that he will announce his college choice on Wednesday, September 25. The 6-foot-9, 215-pound product out of Dynamic Prep (TX) High said he will choose from SMU, Miami, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, and Alabama.

The Mustangs are considered the slight favorite, with the Red Raiders not far behind, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

Toombs recently came off a Miami visit this month, and within days after he set his commitment date. Last month, Toombs wrapped up an official visit to Alabama, following an earlier official visit to Texas Tech that occurred last year.

The center from Dallas is rated as the 5th-best center nationally, and the 5th-best overall prospect in Texas for the 2025 class.

At his high school in Dallas, he averaged 12.8 points per game, 9.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.1 blocks in two seasons at Dynamic Prep.

The Hurricanes currently have one class of 2025 commitments, good enough for the 26th-best class in the nation.
