Miami Dolphins activate Jaelan Phillips off PUP list

Subsequently spanning nearly eight months since his injury, linebacker Jaelan Phillips is set to rejoin the Dolphins’ active roster this forthcoming week.

During his Monday press conference, Head Coach Mike McDaniel announced that the team has decided to activate Jaelan Phillips, who was previously placed on the physically unable to perform list, due to his Achilles tendon injury sustained during the team’s victory over the Jets in the Black Friday game last year.

Phillips, who was selected in the first round of the 2021 draft, is transitioning into his third season with the Dolphins. He concluded the previous season with an impressive tally of 43 tackles and 6.5 sacks. However, his season was abruptly interrupted when he sustained an Achilles tendon injury eight games into the season, resulting in his absence from the remainder of the team’s games. Despite this setback, Phillips appeared to be on the cusp of a breakout year prior to his injury.

Great to see him back out there!
