Miami extends offer to 2025 center Jaden Toombs

Much of Jim Larranaga’s early recruiting work since taking over at Miami in 2012 has had to be focused on the transfer portal, but with the AAU season ramping up, Larranaga and his staff have put a few offers out to high school standouts this week.

Class of 2025 forward Jaden Toombs announced his Miami offer within the past few days.

Listed at 6-foot-9 on the recruiting websites, Toombs is ranked as highly as the No. 43 player in the 2025 class. ESPN gives him that ranking, but 247Sports and On3 also have him as a top-100 prospect at No. 63 and No. 78 respectively.

Out of Dynamic Prep in Dallas, Toombs also has announces offers to LSU, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and SMU to this point.

He plays his AAU ball with Drive Nation, a Texas-based squad, on Nike’s EYBL circuit. He’s the league’s third-leading rebounder at this point, averaging 8.4 boards a game. Through 10 EYBL games this season, Toombs is also averaging 14.8 points and 1.8 assists a contest while shooting 69% from the field and 71% from the foul line.
