Miami Football: 4-star DB Zaquan Patterson sets August 26th date
Miami football has already seen the benefits of hiring defensive backs coach Addae. with his efforts on the recruiting trail.
The Hurricanes already have three safeties locked in with their 2024 class all three of those safety commits are all three stars, Isaiah Thomas, Dylan Day, and Ryan Mack. but they seem open to taking another one if they’re a good enough prospect.
Miami isn’t done at the position group, considering they are still heavily recruiting four-star safety Zavier Mincey, four-star safety Zaquan Patterson, and three-star safety Brayshon Williams.
Speaking of Patterson, the talented four-star safety target from Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Hollywood, Florida, will announce his commitment on Saturday, August 26th, between five schools: Miami, Auburn, Michigan, Florida State, and Ohio State.
There has been optimism from some individuals that Miami stands in a good position to land his services. It helps to have talented defensive backs Ryan Mack and Dylan Day, who have been recruiting heavily for the Hurricanes since they have committed.
Zaquan Patterson is a Swiss Army Knife type of player for Miami Gardens (Florida) Chaminade-Madonna College Prep. Patterson has played all over the field, including making impact plays on special teams. As a sophomore, Patterson was a Sun Sentinel first-team all-county selection after finishing with 61 tackles, three sacks and an interception. He also blocked eight punts and field goals. Then in 2022, he had 69 tackles, four sacks, two interceptions, averaged 13.7 yards on kickoff returns and also averaged 40 yards a reception.
