Miami Football: Hurricanes get a commitment from a top rated safety

Miami football has already seen the benefits of hiring defensive backs coach Addae. with his efforts on the recruiting trail.

The Hurricanes now have four safeties locked in including Patterson with their 2024 class the other three safety commits are all three stars, Isaiah Thomas, Dylan Day, and Ryan Mack.

Miami isn’t done at the position group, considering they are still heavily recruiting four-star safety Zavier Mincey, and three-star safety Brayshon Williams.

the talented four-star safety target from Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Hollywood, Florida, committed to Miami over Auburn, Michigan, Florida State, and Ohio State.

Zaquan Patterson is a Swiss Army Knife type of player for Miami Gardens (Florida) Chaminade-Madonna College Prep. Patterson has played all over the field, including making impact plays on special teams. As a sophomore, Patterson was a Sun Sentinel first-team all-county selection after finishing with 61 tackles, three sacks and an interception. He also blocked eight punts and field goals. Then in 2022, he had 69 tackles, four sacks, two interceptions, averaged 13.7 yards on kickoff returns and also averaged 40 yards a reception.
