Miami Football in position to land’ 24 Florida recruit

Miami Football got some big news on the recruiting trail Sunday as a Crystal Ball was put in for 2024 wide receiver Jacory Barney Jr out of Miami Palmetto High School. And he just wrapped up an visit at Miami on Sunday, Mario Cristobal and coach Kevin Beard is turning him away from Nebraska.

Barney is the No. 40 overall athlete in the 2024 class, and the No. 57 overall player in his class from the state of Florida per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. His recruitment has grown substantially over the past couple of months.

June 23-25 was probably the biggest Miami hurricanes recruiting weekend Miami will ever have in the 2024 cycle there was players such as five-star wide receiver Ohio State commit Jeremiah Smith, Georgia commit Jaylen Heyward, four-star tight end Caleb Odom, EDGE Marquise Lightfoot, inside offensive lineman Isendre Ahfua, and that was just to name a couple there was a lot more visitors that weekend.

At his time at Miami Palmetto High School he racked up 37 receptions for 559 yards with an average of 15.1 per catch, and with 4 touchdowns in his Junior career at Palmetto.

He holds offers from many power five schools here are some including Miami, Nebraska, West Virginia, Texas A&M, Arizona, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Tennessee, UCF, USF, and Utah.

Nebraska has been leading for Barney Jr. for a while now. but since he came down to Coral Gables June 23-25 things have changed he his begin crystal balled to Miami by multiple experts such as Brain Christopherson, Michael Bruntz, and Will Turboff.
