Miami Football Takes Care Of Business Against Florida A&M 56-9

It did not take no time for the Hurricanes to warm up, they were rocking and rolling from the start. Mario Cristobal picked up victory No. 14 Saturday afternoon with a 56-9 win over FAMU.

The Hurricanes’ defense heated up early, with linebacker Wesley Bissainthe making a crucial tip pass interception on a third down by FAMU to give the Canes an early advantage.

When Ward had time to throw, he looked like a future first round draft pick. The Miami quarterback completed 20-of-26 passes for 304 yards and three touchdowns. He was sacked just once in the game today.

Ward completed passes to 8 different receivers but Xavier Restrepo was his favorite target. The Florida native had four receptions for 104 yards and a touchdown. Isaiah Horton tallied four receptions for 66 yards and Chris Johnson caught a touchdown, Ward also rushed one in by himself.

Suffocating Miami Defense

The Miami defense gave the offense plenty of time to warm up. The Rattlers could not do much in the first half as they forced a turnover in their first possession as Wesley Bissianthe got a tip pass for an interception. The Hurricanes also got to the quarterback in the backfield to force bad passes the Hurricanes did an okay just stuffing the run.

Tyler Baron is the real deal

Despite Reuben Bain being out against Florida A&M, Tyler Baron proved to be a force to be reckoned with. Baron terrorized the Rattlers’ offensive line, making three sacks and 5 tackles against FAMU.
