Miami has a real chance of landing 5-star CB DJ Pickett

If you have been keeping up with the Miami Hurricanes recruiting by now you would know that the Hurricanes top priority target is five-star cornerback DJ Pickett out of Zephyrhills (Fla).

Miami has been in his mind for a while now and the Hurricanes do have a good chance in landing him, however there is still some teams there that is fighting for him which is Florida State, Florida, Oregon and LSU that are his main schools that is really looking into him, but it really seems like it Is just a Miami and LSU battle for this one but I would not count out Oregon, and both Miami and LSU has been trading back and fourth with who is in the lead or not.

According to Chad Simmons of On3, as of right ow he is saying Miami has the best chances of landing him:

“LSU has been the name with the most buzz around it the spring and now into the summer, but lets wait and see what happens this season. Miami has a real chance here, and if they show real improvement, they could be tough to beat.”

He recently visit Miami for an unofficial visit and here is what his parents told CanesToday about his trip.

“Miami showed our family a great time. I feel like Miami did an amazing job of showing us how DJ would fit into the organisation on and off the field. We were impressed this weekend.”

Pickett has been to Miami’s campus five times four of them being unofficial and the recent one in June being a official.
