Miami Has Caught The Attention Of 2025 Edge Jayden Wood

Dynamic 2025 pass rusher Jayden Woods updates recruitment and relationship with Miami.

Littered amongst a deep and talented group of defensive ends in the 2025 recruiting class, Shawnee (Kan.) Mill Valley pass rusher Jayden Woods is one of the more dynamic talents at the position.

Since then, the staff has been in consistent contact, at least as much as they can be. They are working hard to get Woods on campus sometime in the near future.

“I’m looking to get down to Coral Gables in the spring or an official visit”

When that contact does ramp up, Miami will be doing their best to make a continued strong early impression on the Kansas native. There is definitely interest from Woods, which is a good start.

Woods is rated as a four-star recruit by 247Sports, On3 and ESPN. He ranks highest on the 247Sports ranking, sitting as the No. 121 overall player and No. 13 edge in the 2025 recruiting class. On3 has Woods ranked similarly, currently pegged as the No. 149 overall player and No. 15 edge in the cycle.

The 6-3, 220-pound defender has a long list of impressive suitors. Some of Woods’ top offers thus far include the Hurricanes, Alabama, USC, Oklahoma, Penn State, Oregon, Tennessee, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Missouri, Minnesota, Iowa, Baylor, Kansas State, Illinois, Purdue, Iowa State and Kansas among others.

The Kansas native was a big time performer for the state champion last year for the Mill Valley Jaguars. Woods finished the season with 51 total tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss and six sacks. He added in an additional six sacks, three forced fumbles and three pass breakups.

He also told CanesToday that he is still open but he will be narrowing down his decision next month or so.
