Miami Hurricanes commit Vincent Shavers told CaneSport.com that he wants to win a national championship, if we are being honest with ourselves Miami still has a couple years of rebuilding until Miami will be at the top again, so is this the best place for him?

Shavers spent his junior season at Miami Monsignor Pace, where he totaled 56 tackles. He also broke up a pair of passes and forced a couple of fumbles while also intercepting a pass.

Shavers is rated a three-star prospect in 247Sports’ composite ranking. He is listed as the No. 66 linebacker and No. 722 player in the 2024 class.

“I love D-Nic. He said he’s got a future for me. He’s going to get me right. He makes me play downhill football. Me and him got a great bond. When I went on my Miami visit, we played basketball and I beat him. We got a good bond, me and him do,” Shaver said.

Miami has been maintaining a strong pipeline between themselves and the four-time consecutive state champs with defensive lineman Rueben Bain and linebacker Wesley Bissainthe staying home to play for the Hurricanes over the past two cycles.

“It’s good. I get to play with Rueben and Wesley. It’s good,” Shavers said.
