Miami Hurricanes Football Set To Host Miami (Ohio) In Season Opener

The University of Miami Football team will take on the Miami (Ohio) Redhawks under the lights on Friday, September 1st, with opening the season at Hard Rock Stadium. The game is set for a 7 p.m. EST kick on ACCN.

Hurricanes QB Tyler Van Dyke is making his way back from shoulder injury, and his ready to go against the Redhawks. Van Dyke is looking to have a comeback year after going a disappointing 5-7 season. The junior completed 52.9% of his passes for 1,844 yards with 10 TD and 5 INT, and the last five-games Van Dyke was sacked seven times. QBs Jacurri Brown and Emory Williams were battling for the primary backup job in camp.

Miami picks up a 34-17 victory win in the home opener of 2023 to move there overall to 1-0.
