Miami Hurricanes makes top 8 for 2024 Virginia linebacker

The Miami Hurricanes have already been on to a hot start with the month of July. The Hurricanes had two verbal commitments since July 1st and currently have 16 commitments for their 2024 recruiting class.

As the Miami Hurricanes continues to look for the final pieces to their 2024 recruiting class, another domino has made their decision on narrowing down their list to Miami, Tennessee, USC, Alabama, Notre Dame, Penn State, Virginia Tech, and Georgia are Cole’s top eight schools.

Virginia linebacker Chris Cole tweeted out his top-eight schools on Sunday night with the Hurricanes making the cut. The 6-foot, 3-inch and 210 pound linebacker is ranked as the 15th best as his position and 155th overall according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Virginia Tech is leading for Cole’s commitment at 35.2% with Penn State begin 13.0% and Georgia begin 11.1% and finally Miami begin 7.5% to get a commitment out of Cole.

As a junior at Salem High School in Salem, Virginia he made an transition from defensive back to linebacker. Helped Salem go 10-3 and reach Virginia’s Region 4D final. He totaled 76 tackles with 11 of those coming for a loss. He also competes in track and field he finished 4th at Nike Indoor National in the 60-meter hurdles and 6th in the 55-meter hurdles so this kid is a true demon on the field and the track.

The class of commitments is led by four-star EDGE Marquise Lightfoot, the No. 128 overall prospect in the country, and four-star running-back Kevin Riley, the No. 104 overall player. four-star wide receiver Chance Robinson, the No. 140 overall player in the On3 ratings.
