Miami Hurricanes News: 5-star EDGE Colin Simmons sets Miami football official visit for June
One of the biggest priority’s recruits on the board for Miami football in the 2024 class has locked in his official visit to Coral Gables this summer. The elite five-star Duncanville edge rusher Colin Simmons announced his initial round of official visits dates on the morning of May 25, which included Miami among the three schools he’s set to set next month.
Simmons is set to begin his June official visit schedule by seeing the Miami Hurricanes on June 9. Then, Simmons will make the trip to Eugene to see the Oregon Ducks and head coach Dan Lanning. Lastly On his official visit trip, Simmons will make a trip down to Austin to the Texas Longhorns and head coach Steve Sarkisian.
Its not very surprising to see Simmons join the insane list of in-state official visitors that Miami has slated for that key weekend in early June. Simmons will join the likes off five-star Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy wide receiver Ellis Robinson, four-star Mater Dei defensive lineman Aydin Breland, And five-star running-back Jerrick Gibson and etc. This loading group of official visitors set for June 9.

Miami seems to be loading up on a massive group of in-state visitors for this crucial early-June weekend. Meanwhile, a lot of the priority out-of-state recruits for the Hurricanes in the 2024 class will be officially visiting Miami on the weekend prior.
Moreover, I expect Simmons to be scheduling more official visits in the coming months as some of the top schools in his recruitment aren’t listed among the three he’s seeing in June. The LSU Tigers, TCU Horned Frogs, Georgia Bulldogs, Alabama Crimson Tide, and Texas A&M Aggies are all schools that could still receive an official visit from Simmons later in the summer or in the fall.
