Miami Hurricanes News: Louisville linebacker KJ Cloyd commits to Miami as a graduate

The 6-foot-2, 229-pounder appeared in 36 games across three seasons for the Cardinals and reconnects with linebacker coach Derck Nicholason in Coral Gables.

The Columbia, Miss. native finishes his Cardinals career with 40 tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, two pass breakups, four quarterback hurries, and one fumble recovery in 36 games and one start against Virginia in 2021.

Cloyd originally joined Louisville in 2020 as a JUCO transfer from Jones College in Ellisville, Miss., where he racked up 46 tackles, 16 of them begin solo tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 2.o sacks and a force fumble in his lone season at the JUCO level.
