Miami Hurricanes SS Kamren Kinchens to Wear No. 26 at the Rams
The Rams have announced jersey numbers for their 2024 NFL Draft class: new additions and a couple of returnees sporting different numbers for Rams this year.
So, they gave the Miami Hurricanes safety Kamren Kinchens, Sean Taylor’s number were he would be wearing No. 26 for the Rams.
Kinchens is about as versatile a safety as you’ll find in this draft. His athleticism gives him top-tier range in coverage as a single-high defender, but Miami also uses him in the box. He’s a scheme-versatile backend playmaker.
Kinchens also does a great job of playing the run game. He makes quick reads when defending the run and triggers quickly to the line of scrimmage.
Expect Kamren Kinchens to play a significant role at Sofi Stadium in year one. The Rams have snaps to fill in the secondary. The rookie is stepping into a great playing time situation despite slipping into the third round.
