Miami Hurricanes vs. Texas A&M: CT contributor prediction

At 3:30 P.M. Saturday afternoon, Miami and Texas A&M will play on ABC. Right now on your computer, The CanesToday contributor Trinton Breeze has predictions for the outcome of that non-conference, second-week matchup in Miami

Last week, Trinton Breeze nearly nailed the Miami-Miami (Ohio) score with his prediction of 37-10 for the 38-3 game.

UM head coach Mario Cristobal made seven changes to his coaching staff, including the hiring of offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson and defensive coordinator Lance Guidry. Dawson has brought a spread approach on offense while Guidry brings an aggressive approach on defense. Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher made the big decision to step down from play-calling duties and hire veteran coach Bobby Petrino to call plays. And we saw Week 1 that Texas A&M offense is no joke. From a personnel standpoint, the Hurricanes added transfers at nearly ever position and signed the No. 7 overall recruiting class in the country for the 2023 cycle. Compared to the 2022 Texas A&M game, Miami’s starting lineup will look much different. Texas A&M will also look much different compared to last year’s match-up, featuring a different quarterback in Conner Weigman, and a group of wide receivers that is much more talented year-over-year. Both Miami and Texas A&M will each look to use this game as a springboard to improve after each team finished the 2022 season with a 5-7 showing.

Prediction:

With all that being said, Miami wants to run the ball and there are indications they will find production there, but how the teams perform through the air will be the difference in the game. I think Miami wins!!
